Meet Our Team
Amanda – Practice Administrator
I am Amanda Carlin and a South Dakota Native. I’m married to my husband John of 18 years, and we have 3 kids. John and I have raised our family in Newcastle WY, on our ranch. In 2015 we returned home to SD, our old stomping ground. With 3 children all teenagers, chasing them takes up all of my time, and there is nothing else I would rather do. My kids are active in volleyball, basketball, football, track, wrestling and High school rodeo.
My favorite thing about dentistry is serving my patient’s needs. Whether it’s dental needs, or a being a good listener and finding out what matters most to my patients. Dr. Diana is passionate about the whole being of the patient, not just the teeth! This is what I love most about being a team member at Destination Dentistry. I’m also very passionate about being involved in my community. I donate a lot of my time, to Booster Club, community fundraisers, and to those who are in need of a helping hand. I’m so blessed to be part of such a great team, and community.
Brittnay – Dental Assistant
Brittnay is a Michigan native who moved to South Dakota in the fall of 2008 to pursue a Bachelor degree in Wildlife and Fisheries and an Associate degree in Business Management. While in college, she rode for the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Equestrian team competing across South Dakota and parts of the Midwest. She graduated from SDSU in the spring of 2012. She started working in the Black Hills in the summer of 2009 as a wrangler at Blue Bell Lodge in Custer State Park giving guided tours on horseback. Throughout her summers working in the Black Hills, she fell in love with the scenery and decided to stay in the area a little while longer, which led her to Destination Dentistry. She joined our hygiene department as a hygiene assistant. She recently graduated from the dental assisting course at WDT.
Brittnay is outgoing and always willing to learn new things. With her outgoing personality, she loves meeting everyone who walks into the office and greets them with a cheery smile. Brittnay spends most of her time riding horses and loves spending time with family and friends.
Kelly – Business Assistant
This past year I started working in the dental field as a business assistant and finished a dental assisting program. I look forward to becoming DANB certified and radiology certified for the state of South Dakota. This will further my career here at Destination Dentistry where I’ve found a successful home! When I’m not working on my career, I’m enjoying the outdoors adventuring and trying new things. There are so many great hiking spots in this area. Finding a good book or learning new recipes are my favorite past times. I love spending time with my family most weekends and have ambitions to travel as much as I can.
Cindy – Hygienist
I grew up in Colorado Springs in a large family of ten children. I moved to Canon City, Co where I have three children and five grandchildren.
I was introduced to Dental Assisting in 1989 and work as an assistant for 18 years. I wanted to have more influence in the care and treatment of patients, so I graduated from Colorado Northwestern Hygiene school in 2008. I volunteer every year for the Colorado Mission of Mercy as the lead for the dental hygiene department. It is a clinic that serves the dental needs of about 1200 patients in two days. We get up early and work late, but the blessings and gratitude are well worth it.
My husband and I came to South Dakota to provide help and encouragement to my sister. When we met some of the people here and seen how beautiful it is in The Black Hills, we felt as though this is where we were supposed to be.
I have enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. I appreciate the patients that have put their trust and confidence in us to give them the best we can offer. Making new friends and becoming a part of your life keeps me excited about my profession.
Peggy – Hygienist
Peggy is originally from the East Coast. She relocated to the Black Hills from Colorado 4 years ago. She assumed a position on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation where she worked for 3 ½ years as a Dental Hygienist. She fell in love with the people and culture, but was ready for a change.
She has three grown children in Colorado, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and two beautiful Grandsons. Her passions are God, her Grandsons, gardening, and raising a few chickens.
I love being a Dental Hygienist and have been practicing for 18 years. I am grateful to Dr. Diana and the wonderful team at Destination Dentistry for welcoming me to be part of the team as Dental Hygienist! I look forward to continuing the wonderful care this office provides and getting to know each and every one of you!
